Great machine and awesome customer service I received this unit for Christmas and I've used it multiple times a day since then. I have been very happy with the performance of the unit and the cups and cups and cups and cups of coffee I am able to prepare when using it.I was initially a bit puzzled/annoyed though as the singleshot cup would never produce a concentrated cup of espresso/no crema at all. I gave up on using the singleshot cup since the doubleshot seemed to work properly I figured I was probably doing something wrong or was really just meant to be drinking doubles!. Recently I took the cup apart to try cleaning it to see if that would correct the issue and I realized that the little plastic gasket that holds the plunger I think that's what it would be considered in place was snapped and the plunger was just dangling loose. I called Delonghi gave them information about my model and issue and two days later I had a free replacement cup! I was truly shocked at how fast I received the replacement.Very happy with the unit and extremely happy with Delonghi's customer service department.
unsatisfied customer We have had the DeLonghi EC702 for about a month now and been disapointed since our first brew. it started with an excessive amount of foam and now the steamer is taking forever to heat the milk it almost seems as if the pump is not working right. It is not as powerfull as the advertisement made out to be. looks like you cant buy a good product for a reasonable price anymore.
Great Value for Under $200 Espresso Machine I have had Delonghi EC702 for a week and for $160 it more than meets my expectation of a good espresso.I did consider Gaggia Classic but for for over 2 times the price would it make 2 times better espresso? I doubt it would!EC7020 produces excellent espresso with nice gold creama and if it has weakness the frother does take little effort to get that nice froth but it works.I roast my own quality beans using Fresh Roast 170 and use excellent Capresso grinder and the results are very satisfactory.

So very happy with our purchase! We just ventured into creating home made Espresso and after extensive research to find a good entry level semiautomatic Espresso machine we chose the Delonghi EC 702. We are very pleased with the design materials operation and Espresso produced by this machine.
Very happy This was my first espresso machine and I could not be happier with my purchase. I was a daily sbux espresso drinker and was getting very tired of paying $4 for my quad espresso daily. I'd just returned from Europe and experienced the smoothest espresso with incredible crema and I was on a quest to duplicate my find and save some money on my yearly coffee budget. I ordered this machine along with a capresso grinder and a bag of Lavazza crema e aroma beans and Eureka!!! It makes incredible crema and my husband has no desire to go back to 5 bucks for a latte which I now make for him. The milk steamer works beautifully and can't wait to get up and do it all again the next day. The machine is very easy to use for people who have never ventured to step out and become a home barista. I've had the machine for over 2 weeks and love it. Don't hesitate to make the best espresso at home and better yet save at least half of your yearly coffee budget by doing it yourself.I can't wait till the morning.
DeLonghi Espresso Maker Our old espresso maker finally died and I knew my wife couldn't last long without a new one so I purchased this espresso maker based on the great reviews it had. Had it all ready for her on Christmas morning and brewed the first cups before the kids woke up. Works great and looks great on the counter. Depending on the size of the coffee mug it can be a little tight getting the mug under the steamer but it makes up for it by being able to sit the mug down and just allowing it to do its thing without having to hold the mug. I like the built in tamper one less tool you need lying around to make your espresso. All in all a great product.
Quality Espresso Affordable Price. I've had a good experience with the EC702. Using either ESE pods or finely ground beans the machine makes a good espresso. With the beans it makes a quality crema each time. I haven't had such luck with the pods.I've poured about 20 or so espressos since receiving the machine and have only had one or two bad ones in the beginning. I definitely recommend letting the machine preheat for 510 mins to get a consistent batch each time. Overall I'm quite pleased with the purchase.
