Returning this item has not been a pleasant experience This item arrived well packaged however the chrome band in front has a dent. When I called Customer Service I was told to take a picture of the damage and email back to Brookstone. Take a picture of a dent on chrome? Try that without a dedicated lens on the camera. So I called back and told the CSR the issue and he agreed to put in an order for a return label and waive the picture requirement. So having heard nothing for three days UPS shows up at my door asking to pick up the machine. Well I did not have it packed up or a label sent from Brookstone so I was unprepared. I didn't want to package up the product just in case I had other requirements to follow. I called the company and the CSR explained UPS will bring the label. So as I write this review the machine is in the process of the return. Keep you posted on the ordeal as it unfolds.
Disappointed I found the design while sleek and attractive was poorly engineered. The 'removable' water tank is so awkward that we simply don't bother and just fill it with water the coffee carafe instead which by the way dribbles.
esspression coffee maker I must say that we love this coffee maker. Its super easy to use we figured out all of the buttons and settings in a couple days. The design is really well thought out. We make awesome specialty coffees with the espresso side. It actually pushes water through the coffee quite well if you don't over tamp it. It produces a perfect crema espresso shot! IT REALLY DOES WORK GREAT! The pump struggles a bit with a double if it is not pressed just right. Also the frothing steam is a little bit slow but works well if you have a little patience. The machine looks awesome on the counter and over all is great. Way better than the little single espresso machines that we have had in the past. If I had to give a negative I would say that it could use more metal in the construction and a little more weight. It feels a little cheap in some ways but it does seem to work great so far.
Love this I researched the heck out of combo coffee/espresso machines. Between the two I had it narrowed down to I was not impressed with either of their reviews. This one had zero reviews but I took a chance thinking that 'no' review was better than one with a bad review. I am so happy with this machine.
Super esspresso Excellent product espresso part little hard to understand the steps but once you follow directions 2 times you are in Italia go for it enjoy.
Luke warm If you make coffee and then want to steam some milk or make a latte cappuchino espresso you have to pour water into the resevoir. Then with the burner plate on to keep the coffee warm it wants to make more so it starts the brewing process again unless you turn off the burner. This doesn't help to keep your coffee warm but you can make your espresso or steam milk. Another problem with it is the coffee espresso and steamer just doesn't get hot enough. If you like your coffee hot you have to nuke it as it gets room temp real fast. I am disappointed that I paid $200.00 for this thing. I'd call it a poor to mediocre machine. Another thing is the manual is poorly written.
