Nice and convenient I got the Kaldi 9910 bundle last week and am fairly impressed. I have found that I like both the coffee and espresso better than what I have had with Nespresso and Keurig machines. I have only tried the milk frother once so far but I thought it did a nice job. The machine itself is fairly compact which leads to the two main reasons this unit did not receive a full five stars from me. FIrst it only holds small coffee cups. I would rather be able to brew a single larger cup than two small cups. The other drawback is the size of the water reservoir. If you are using the machine only for espresso shots or you are only brewing a couple of cups a day then the size is adequate. Otherwise you might find yourself always filling up the reservoir. It is just big enough for four cups of coffee or teaor just big enough for my wife and I to each have a large mug of tea or coffee. The final drawback is the tea selection. My wife only drinks tea and there currently only appears to be four types available.Overall this is the best capsule coffee/espresso machine that I have tried and I would recommend it.
Best coffee maker ever I have tried and owned all the coffee machines for the past a few years the regular drip senseo manual espresso machine Keurig tassimo my wife was really mad at me this cbtl is by far the best of all espresso taste so good so easy to make and I got the best deal coffee maker with milk Forster plus 60 cartridge of coffee tea and espresso for only $98. The only complain is the choice of coffee and espresso are not as many as Keurig or tassimo. Try it you won't be disappointed.
Amazing coffee some minor challenges I'm very happy with this machine. I already have a La Pavoni and enjoy the theater of pulling espresso shots except when I really need coffee and I can't muster the coordination. In the past I've resisted any kind of machine that requires pods capsulesanything where there's a question of freshness. I was shocked at the flavor of the drinks this machine produces.It's a small machine as others have mentioned but feels substantial. It doesn't have that hollow feel many other machines have. It's easy to operate under my upper cabinets. I don't like kitchen clutter but I can tuck this away and run it inplace. It heats quickly I can have my shot pulled within two minutes total.
Very Good Stuff for a Coffee Mania! This machine is highly recommended so it's enough to be appreciated. Simply it is convenient to make coffee to wash to get rid of trash. Taste is super!But I am a consumer in Korea.For Korean consumers here are 2 advices.1. If you have no º¯¾Ð±â I don't recommend purchase from Amazon USA because in USA they use 110 or 120v.!2. Use the ¹è'ëÁö if possible. you can reduce the shipping fee about to 50000won. TT I didn't know it I payed about 150000won for shipping charge dont be silly everybody.
Decent Value I wanted to try this machine for a while now and I am glad I did it works as advertised.For reference mine is piano black and looks compact and classy. The frother looks nice too but I haven't tried it yet. There are instructions on the web showing how to raise the temps another five degrees online I like it better now that the Kaldi is brewing hotter. Mine came with Vienna capsules instead of French Roast I did not mind Amazon will make it right if I do mind the other capsules are what is listed.I notice in a comment below someone is accusing CBTL of false advertising about cup sizes so lets set the record straight Not sure why someone would complain that the cup sizes are not adjustable they are hold in the button while brewing till desired volume is reached the setting is saved. Have a smaller cup? Flip the drip tray over for a better fit putting the cup closer to the dispensing stream.These bounced all over the place in price lately so some of us paid sixty some paid a hundred and some paid two forty nine not sure what that is all about but I guess they know what they are doing. At sixty it's a very nice package deal since the coffee tea and espresso taste pretty good.Added 3.27.12Tried the frother with whole milk and soy milk works great for this type of whisk frothing with the top mounted wand clean up is so simple. Sureit's more foamy and stiff compared to what a steam wand is capable of creating but it is fast tasty enough and drop dead easy.Changing temps & drop sizesthanks to jar on SSC for posting theseYou set drop size by simply holding the button down and releasing at the desired drop.1 To set temperature turn the machine off and lift handle up as if to insert a capsule but do not insert one.2 Hold down the short espresso and the brewed coffee button but not the middle button and turn the machine on.3 You should get an alarm and the light on the right side of the control dial will turn red.4 Then you can press the long espresso middle size button and release to raise the temperature a degree and a half.5 First the short espresso top button will light press again and the long middle and on the third press the brewed coffee bottom button will light.6 The maximum you can raise the temperature is three steps so 4.5 degrees to a final temp of 197 F following this sequence.7 Then turn the machine off lower the handle and then turn the machine back on.
Not what pictured The item is not what is advertised in the picture. It is much smaller and it doesn't have the adjustable cup options as shown. It will be going back! I only give it 3 stars due to the false advertising.
LovE! I got an awesome deal on the Kaldi and I have to say was a bit skeptical. It also was offered with Prime shipping so I signed up for Prime just to get it quicker which has since changed my life.I have previously owned an Nespresso machine which I took back to Williams Sonoma because I thought for the cost it wasnt worth it or simple enough.This machine is awesome. Its so easy to set up and use.
Great product. I've been pleasantly surprised to find a similar machine in my hotel room in Dusseldorf. Loved the taste of CBTL Italian espresso came back home and found this set on Amazon. It takes about a minute for the machine to warm up and about 30 seconds to brew a cup of espresso. My fully automatic Saeco needs 23 minutes to warm up 30 minutes to brew and then there's cleanup including the brew group. With CBTL cleanup is simple I just throw out the used capsules and wash the drip tray. With time a selection of capsules will get better apparently the Caffitaly system used in CBTL coffee makers is extremely popular in Europe.
This thing makes my morning! I had a Tassimo that I LOVED!! BUT they had a product recall and I haven't been able to buy their espresso for months! So with no end in sight to the Tassimo problem I reluctantly bought a new machine.I have had my CBTL Kaldi and milk frother now for about a month. I have had no problems at all. I only use the Kaldi for espresso and tea. I'm happy with the flavor of their espressos and their English Breakfast tea. It's not the HOTTEST coffee/tea I've ever had but I don't like mine super hot I like it to be immediately drinkable. I have used nonfat milk vanilla almond milk and chocolate almond milk in the frother all with no problems. The frother is EASY to rinse clean after just a splash with hot water and if you're feeling ambitious a bit of soap and dish brush. I only do a thorough clean of the frother maybe once or twice a weekmainly because it isn't needed. The coffee pods are easily found at Target and are quite affordable. I really love this machine and the drinks it makes.
Great espresso OK coffee and soso tea I really wanted to love this machineit would have been a dream come true.It makes great espresso but just OK coffee. I found the coffee/brew option a bit too watered down for my taste. I prefer my coffee a bit more condensed or full bodied as the way it is had in Europe. The teas were just OK as well.One other thing is I wish the capsules were more readily available. There are more caffitaly capsule selections in Europe but unfortunately they are not available in US.
