Used twice and don't like it! I bought this coffee filter when I purchased my new brewer. I thought that it would be a great way to go green and not use the paper filters. After two uses I realized that I was needing to use too much water to rinse the grounds out. I stopped using it and am now using paper filters.
medelco #4 Cone coffee filter The Medelco# 4 Cone Filter was a hit.ordered promptly and received it promptly at a good price and a great deal. The cone filter was used immediately fit perfectly the best buy ever will indeed order another one soon. This filter fits exactly as is..with great filtering and tasting coffee.
LID WON'T CLOSE The cone doesn't even fit my coffee maker right. The lid won't snap shut. That is annoying as ever. I was quite annoyed receiving it.
Good Idea Bad Coffee I made the mistake of ordering this without researching coffee filters. Basically permanent filters dont work as well as paper filters and make your coffee taste bad. You also get a lot of sludge at the bottom of the cup. Flavors are muddy and coffee is very dark. If you are drinking specialty coffee then don't get this. Paper filters work much better.Will be returning shortly.
Wanted for use with a melitta but it makes sludge. I was happy when this filter fit into my melitta.I make a single cup of coffee twice a day and I was really going through filters plus I read that using this type of filter would improve flavor.This filter even with a more coarse grind makes a cup full of nasty tasting sludge.Another reviewer compared it to a french press that's not true I have a french press and while it does a LITTLE sludge in the bottom of the cup it's nowhere near as bad as this.Don't waste your time money or coffee on this product.
Amazon delivers again! This filter cleans easily and filters as thoroughly as the paper filters without killing trees reasonably priced saves money and trips to the store. Use your remaining paper filters for cleaning mirrors.
It works just fine with my Melitta coffee maker I bought this filter along with a Melitta 10Cup thermal coffee maker. It fits that coffee maker perfectly. It doesn't filter the grounds quite as well as a paper filter but there's only a small amount of really fine grounds in the bottom of the carafe. Not really a problem. It's not as easy to clean as dumping out a paper filter filled with wet grounds but that's OK. When I bought it it was 7.99. I see that the price has dropped considerably although that drop may be temporary.
Paper filters are better I thought this filter would be a tiny help to the environment.It does not filter as well as paper filters and it's a mess to dispose of groundsespecially since I'm on septic.
gold coffee filter The gold coffee filter fits my new Krups 12 cup coffee maker & serves the purpose for which it was purchased. It is certainly better than using paper filters each day. It arrived quickly & I'm happy with it.
