Fragile CarafeGood Coffee maker I have the same problem that these customers had. This carafe does not represents the coffee maker as same is a very good one. The manufacturers of Krups have to look into this problem because people would not want to buy the coffee maker because of its poor expresso carafe. I have to buy one because I need it and my expressocoffee maker does not look the same without it. I regret buying the machine.
Handle issues I've had to buy 4 of these so far in a couple of years as replacements for my husband's espresso machine. The problem is that the handles seem to break easily while we're simply trying to clean the carafes.

The screw came out of the handle and a piece broke off making it impossible to repair. I would actually like my money backand I'll be happy to return the defective carafe.
Cuban Coffee My cleaning lady accidently broke my carafe and I was heartbroken..but after waiting months and months I got this replacement. Love it it's brandnew came in good packaging and everything went smooth..
original carafe replacement this is an original part for replacing a very fragile piece on the Krups espresso maker. if you have this machine you WILL need to replace the carafe eventually. this was a very fair price and its nice to have the handles match and have the lid vs buying a generic replacement carafe.
Glad I Found Krups Carafe I accidentally dropped Carafe and broke it. I'm glad to get Carafe replacement instead of replacing entire machine so now I can enjoy my espresso every morning again.
The handlle We are sooo disappointed! We have used Krups products for over twenty years and have never had produce perform so poorly. We thought we had just received a faulty carafe with our new espresso maker. But NO when we ordered a new one it was the same. The handle keeps coming loose and turning when trying to use or clean. The handle will not stay tightened.Also having the lid attached is a real draw back as you cannot clean it as well Go back to your old style at least it lasted ten years before we broke it by dropping. Yours did not last even two weeks before the handle brook off. My husband and I are now thinking of trying to find another machine by another maker. Also having trouble with the steamer does not work as well.
Second carafe for Decaf I purchased this Espresso Carafe for our Krups XS1505 coffee & espresso maker. My husband drinks regular and I drink decaffeinated. We really like having two carafes so we can both have hot coffee together. I tie a ribbon on mine so I know which one it decaf. We really like the coffee maker and the carafe is just the right size for two cups of Americano style coffee. Americano is equal parts espresso & hot water cream & sugar optional.
Poor Handle Construction! The reason I purchased this carafe was because the handle broke on the one that came with the machine. It turns out that this one broke too in the same spot. This is due to the poor construction and design of the handle attached to the cap. The plastic where the screw is inserted through is too thin and it does not have enough strength to hold the pressure of the screw. The two carafes were washed by hand very gently. Bottom line the product sucks! I now need to find a carafe from the old Krups coffee maker that fits in the machine that uses a metal strip to only hold the handle alone and not the cap.I hope this helps other who have had the same experience.
