Jura 13531 Impressa C5 Fully Automatic Coffee Center, Piano Black
Love this espresso/coffee machine! Easy to use and brews a great cup of coffee. Espresso is even better. I mistakenly thought I needed a fine grind for my bold coffee which produced a fairly mild cup but after reading the instructions I changed the grinder to less fine and the end result is fantastic.
Best coffee maker ever!!!!! After 2 months reading reviews and researching online the best coffe maker to buy I decided to try the Jura C5. I read some reviews as the coffee maker wasn't good preparing hot hot hot espressos I guess this people is crazy and lazy. You have to read the manual before use it if you want hotter coffee just pre warming the cup with the hot water feature this it takes around 5s but I've never needed to do that and my coffee always as hot as a Starbucks espresso.I bought this machine to make lattes. I loved it. It's easy and I can prepare the same cafe mocha that I usually got in a Starbucks. I bought cafe mocha powder and a chocolate syrup from Ghirardelli website and after some cups I know how many spoons and pumps I have to use itYou can changing the cup size and customized to your personal cup size to keep easier your daily coffee preparation. My metal tray came with some scratches on I called the customer service and promptly they send me a new one by mailing.
Save your money I bought this machine before I became a coffee geek thinking it would make great shots very conveniently. The fact of the matter is that unfortunately with superautomatics you tend to get the worst of all possible worlds. Note while this review is specific to this Impressa C5 I've found similar problems on other machines relatives moved into a house that had a miele superautomatic already installed and it suffered pretty much all the same issues.1. The main problem is the shots are just not that great. They tend to be thin with not enough crema and are consistently sour. They're not horrible but after spending close to a thousand dollars I expected much better quality in the taste.2. Superautomatics are notably unreliable. My Impressa C5 broke about 2 months after the warranty ran out and if you search around on coffee forums you'll see this is fairly common. Again I don't fault Jura for this it just seems to be a factor of how superautomatics work. There are a lot of moving electronically controlled parts that have to deal with the fine dust of coffee grinds gumming up the works. Since the cost of getting the machine fixed would have been about 2/3 the cost of a new machine it just didn't seem worth it.My suggestions if you are considering this machine1. If convenience is very important to you buy a Nespresso machine instead.
Love this machine! We have had this coffee machine for about 16 months or more and we LOVE it! Whenever we go on trips now we actually miss our coffee machine of all things. Making a cappuccino or cup of coffee is so easy. No more making a pot of coffee that doesn't get finished or gets burned. We just brew the coffee as we want it. It seems much more economical than those little Kcup things because we buy a 2 pound bag of beans for under twenty dollars and we're set. The Kcups are really just a novelty in my opinion this is a machine you will use and enjoy for years. We bought a separate milk frothing machine not the one you can purchase to attach to this machine to make cappuccinos even easier than using the wand on this machine which is not bad but we wanted totally handsfree cappuccino making in the mornings. It has paid for itself many times over compared to buying coffees at the local Starbucks. The filters are pricey but it looks like Amazon has a good deal on them so we will buy them here from now on.
Jura Capresso Horrible Customer Service We had a horrible experience dealing with Jura Capresso customer service. After buying a $1200 Jura Capresspo F8 machine and using for 3 years we had to fix it once paid additional $230 a bit less than year later we started suffering water leaks now.
Outstanding coffee lousy customer service. I've owned a few superautomatic coffee machines including Saeco and also a JuraCapresso F9. I loved the F9 though I had to return it for service three times in about five years. We do use very dark roast oily Starbucks beans so maybe that had something to do with it.Anyway I've moved my F9 to my office and purchased a new C5 for my home. The coffee is exactly the same as the muchmoreexpensive F9 in the same form factor. The difference is that this C5 does not offer as many bells and whistles as the F9 which is fine for me because all I ever drink is regular coffee. And the coffee is outstanding always with a wonderful crema on top.I have a few complaints consider it's a thousanddollar coffee maker1. The coffee dispenser is not high enough above the tray to fit a travel mug. A 16ounce coffee cup is about the tallest that will fit. So to fill a travel mug you have to hold it tilted while the coffee is dispensed.2. The machine can't remember your preferred strength of coffee.
love it I've been thinking about getting the Jura for close to a year now but always hesitated because of the price. I love espresso but don't have the time or patience to grind/tamp/brew myself as some people do. Some die hard espresso lovers will laugh at this machine but for me it's perfect. It's easy to use and looks beautiful on the countertop. This machine can grind your beans to the desired consistency and deliver a great cup of coffee. It also allows you the flexibility to use preground coffee if you pleasewhich is nice if you want decaf. It steams and froths your milk in an instant. Now I can have a cappuccino in the morning that only takes 2 minutes and minimal cleanup!I almost bought the Ena but compared thru the Capresso site and found this machine was much more compatible and almost the same size. Do the research and you won't be dissapointed!Edit**** 5311I ended up returning this machine.
BEST THERE IS Jura is absolutely the best home automatic cafe machine. I have been drinking coffee made with European coffee machines since the 80's. Because of heavy use my espresso machines lasted about a year. Then while I was living in Europe I found Jura. I had a Jura fully automatic machine for three years in Europe. It was in perfect condition when I left. The lucky recipient of that machine came back to the USA a year later. and right away they bought a Jura for their home.My FIRST purchase for my home after I re patriated. > I bought the C5 I just love it.
Fantastic machine! This machine was on my wishlist for a long time but I couldn't bring myself to drop close to a $1000 on a coffee machine. One day we realized we had alot of AMEX points and could convert them to use on Amazon voila! 3 days later the machine was sitting on our kitchen counter. It did take a bit of time to setup and get the hang of how to use the frother but once you do the coffee gods will smile down on you.I held back posting a review until now. Last week the filter needed to be replaced and I ordered the wrong one it's not the white filter that shows up as a bundled item with the tablets btw so we've not been able to use the machine for the past week. We went back to using our old Tassimo single cup maker which I used to think brewed a pretty good cup of coffee. After drinking espressos lattes and regular coffee from the Jura for the past 3 months I'm afraid I've been completely spoiled for anything else. This machine has now become an integral part of our daily routineneed to make sure I don't run out of the filters again! If you're thinking about purchasing this machine all I can say is do it just do it.

Adjustable-height coffee spout; Easy Cappuccino Frother or hot water nozzle; removable water tank.Measures 15 by 11-1/2 by 13-1/2 inches.1450-watt automatic coffee machine with 15-bar pump and stainless-steel ThermoBlock heating system.6-setting conical steel burr grinder; separate funnel for pre-ground coffee; 5-16-gram brewing chamber.Rotary dial for choosing coffee or espresso and 1 or 2 cups; Intelligent Pre Brew Aroma System. Combining a compact design with user-friendly front-panel controls, this fully automatic coffee machine makes it easy to enjoy cafe-quality coffee drinks from the comfort of home. Its commercial-grade conical steel burr grinder offers six fineness settings for any type of bean for light to dark roasts, while a separate funnel for pre-ground coffee allows for making no-hassle decaf or flavored coffee drinks. To help ensure a perfect cup of coffee, the appliance comes equipped with a 1450-watt stainless-steel ThermoBlock heating system, a 15-bar high-pressure pump, and the Intelligent Pre Brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S.). Its I.P.B.A.S. delivers freshly ground coffee beans to the infusing cylinder as a powder from the grinder where it gets optimally compressed. Prior to brewing, the powder receives water moisture, which allows the pores to swell and flavors to be released. From here, aromatic, flavorful coffee dispenses into a cup automatically, complete with a thick layer of crema on top. The unit's variable brewing chamber holds between 5 and 16 grams of ground coffee, making it possible to brew a variety of coffee drinks--from a single 1-ounce ristretto to two 8-ounce cups of coffee at a time; the height of its coffee spout can be adjusted between 2-5/9 and 4-3/8 inches (65 and 111 mm) to fit any size cup. Even more, the machine's Connector System allows for using the Easy Cappuccino Frother, the hot water nozzle for tea or instant cocoa, and the optional two-stage frothing nozzle or the Professional Cappuccino Frother (both sold separately) to make perfect milk foam or hot milk. Choose between coffee and espresso, and one or two cups, by simply turning the rotary dial (icons illuminate in red), then press the control for coffee in seconds. The rotary dial also offers on/off (standby), maintenance, pre-ground coffee, and steam options, and its three light segments illuminate to indicate the current coffee strength and water amount (turn the dial to adjust). Below the rotary dial and behind a concealing panel door, the machine offers a range of maintenance buttons with corresponding illuminated displays for the water tank, coffee-grounds container, bean container, and the cleaning, descaling, and filter buttons.
